Withheld by a small commune of Jews against the mighty Roman army till it finally subdued in a tragic effort in the spring of the year 73 ACE.

Tour Itinerary

  • Travel north along the Rift Valley till the Dead Sea, lowest point on the face of earth.
  • Ascend MASADA – Israel’s foremost Archaeological Park, via cablecar.
  • A thorough visit gives insight to the rituals, politics and culture of the people who inhabited this desert fortress.
  • Visit the ruins including King Herod’s winter palace, the synagogue, living quarters, bakery and hot baths with spectacular mosaics, whilst re-living the tragic story with explanations from your guide.
  • Descend to the shores of the DEAD SEA for an afternoon of leisure.
  • Indulge yourselves in the mineral-rich black mud of the Dead Sea, float in its therapeutic waters or simply relax at the spa.
  • Return to Eilat at the end of the day.

Please Note: The crystallized salt in the water may be sharp therefore it is recommended to wear plastic or rubber beach shoes or sandals on the beach and in the water at the Dead Sea.
