The Northern Valleys

Israel, a land bearing evidence of the earliest traces of farming, which has been revitalized in the last half century, has cast Israel as a forerunner in agricultural technology - from sophisticated irrigation systems to genetic engineering. Many kibbutz and moshav settlements, started in the early 1900's as part of a re-settlement program, flourish today. As the richest country in archaeological sites, Israel's ancient settlements also bear testimony to the region's affluence throughout time.
