The most important
person on the tour is, of course YOU - the tourist. And your satisfaction
is the essence of our business. The fact that I enjoy being a tour guide
certainly makes my job easier, however the numerous letters that I have
received and continue to receive throughout the years give me tremendous
encouragement to continue striving to do my best. Perhaps I don't get
a chance to say this on tour but I wish to thank each and all of you for
enriching my life also. |

| Licensed
tour guides in Israel are required to study a 2 year course of academic
subjects and must participate in advanced study seminars yearly, in order
to maintain the validity of their license. Serious tour guides participate
in these study sessions with a sense of interest and pride, usually registering
to more than the minimum requirements. The goal of the seminars is to ensure
that tour guides are current on new findings as well as to enrich their
knowledge in order to enable them to better serve the tourists they lead
maintaining a high level of professionalism. In addition to this, Udi has a degree in history and is studying towards his masters degree. |

In our troubled times, tourists are worried about travelling in a country that is so often in the media. We sit glued to our television sets to the news reports of clashes throughout the world. What we fail to realize is that most of the time and in most of the places, it is... business as usual. After all, no news is good news. So although there are incidents in Israel, these do not occur throughout the country on a constant basis. So, yes we travel throughout Israel comfortably and safely. We contact the tourist bureau and the security forces before and during your tour to ensure your safety. Udi continues to travel throughout Jerusalem and Israel on a regular basis. |

Tourist Comments (Text Version Excerpts) A Jewish philosopher ( I have forgotten if Maimomides or Hillel or even someone else !!) said, "If you want to learn, first find yourself a teacher". We were given the best teacher - one who has knowledge, explanation, wisdom, coupled with understanding and love. Your 'children' are very lucky. Shalom Aleichem, Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday. It was excellent to have a guide like yourself plus all the extras. I hope to see you again. All the very best to your family. I do not think I have ever met a man more in love with his job than your good self and although your job is your living, I know it gives you great pleasure to impart your great fund of knowledge and love or your country's history to others. I very much hope that you continue to do this for a very long time, and give as many people as possible the benefit of your passion and interest. You have no doubt worked very hard to attain the highest level in your chosen vocation. As I have already said to you, I do not believe that there could be anyone in the whole of Israel who could excel at his job as you do, but I am open to the suggestion of being biased towards you ! The people who have shared the benefit of your presence on tour are extremely lucky. Israel, with its rich history and breathtaking scenery, is a fascinating country but what made this visit really special was our guide for the week Mr. Udi Guberman. Dear Udi, Thanks Udi for a fantastic lively week. You've brought the whole area alive for me. God Bless. Corinne called us back to say that Udi Guberman, who was to be our guide would collect us, which he did. To instruct is one thing, Dear Udi, UDI WAS OUR SHEPHERD Thank you for 7 memorable days. All best wishes It was nice to have a Canadian Tour Guide. This was our lifetime experience. Many thanks for your patience and excellent job. Thanks for the eye opener. Its been a wonderful full week which is going to stick with me for a long time. I look forward to the travel show. Dear Udi, Well we are back home now in a very wet and cold England but we can all say that we had an exceptional week in Israel. Enclosed is a copy of a letter we have sent to Longwood in England singing your praises (which you deserve!) Many thanks again, with best wishes to you and your family. Thank you very much for your help and the excellent tour ! May God continue to bless you and your family. We have shared a great life experience. MAY BE !! Best wishes Thank you for an unforgettable week. We'll probably be back so be prepared. Best wishes Thank you both. It is difficult to believe that the tour could be improved due to your untiring efforts. With grateful thanks to our excellent shepherds - we wanted for nothing. Udi - Thanks seems so inadequate for what you've been doing foor us all week. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Love & God Bless |
