ACROSS ISRAEL WITH UDI 8 DAYS

DAY 1, Thursday: Flight to Tel Aviv
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport
• Transfer to Hotel
• Introductory meeting in the evening (depending on time available) to include discussion of technical information such as currency, dress code when visiting religious sites, weather forecast, routes, and historical background information.
Overnight hotel in the Jerusalem area.

DAY 2, Friday: Judean Mountains -: Dead Sea - Masada
• Travel east descending the Judean mountains, through the Judean desert, and onward to the shores of the Dead Sea, lowest point on earth.
• Turn south and continue along its shoreline, stopping at MASADA -Israel’s foremost Archaeological Park.
• Ascend Masada via cable car, for a thorough visit, that gives insight to the rituals, politics and culture of the people who inhabited this desert fortress.
• Descend to the shores of the DEAD SEA to float in the therapeutic waters. Indulge yourself in the mineral-rich black mud, known for its rejuvenating qualities, or simply relax at the spa.
• Journey north via the Qumran caves, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found,
•Return to your hotel in the Jerusalem area.
DAY 3, Saturday: Caesarea - Armageddon - Nazareth 
• Descend northwest from the Judean mountains towards the Mediterranean Sea and travel along its shoreline to CAESARIA MARITIMA , Herod the Great’s masterpiece and domicile of the Roman governors, including Pontius Pilate.
• Drive northeast to
MEGIDDO - ARMAGGEDON, one of the key archaeological sites in understanding the history of the holy land.
• Continue north to the Lower Galilee to visit NAZARETH and the 'CHURCH OF ANNUNCIATION' and on to the village of KANA, the traditional location of the first miracle performed by Jesus.
Return to your hotel in the Jerusalem area.
DAY 4, Sunday: Jerusalem of Gold
Jerusalem...there isn't a city in the world that evokes so much emotion, embracing... so many people....and for thousands of years...
• Start the morning driving by Mount Scopus, passing the WW1 British cemetery, Hadassah Hospital and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
• Stop atop the MOUNT OF OLIVES, for a panoramic view of the Old City, where over 3000 years of history unravels before you.
• From the Mt of Olives descend to the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE at the foot of the mountain and continue downward through the KIDRON VALLEY with its biblical monuments, and then up to the walled city.
• Stop at the WESTERN WALL, Judaism’s holiest site
• Walk the VIA DOLOROSA (Road of Suffering), stopping at 'Stations of the Cross' along the way, till GOLGOTHA and to the Church of the HOLY SEPULCHER.
• Visit the TOWER OF DAVID MUSEUM, museum for the history of Jerusalem
• Walk above the Roman Cardo, and exit the walled town via Zion gate to MOUNT ZION for a visit to DORMITION ABBEY and the ROOM OF THE LAST SUPPER.
• Return to your hotel in the Jerusalem area for dinner and overnight.
Day 5, Monday: New Jerusalem, Museums & Bethlehem
• Start the morning with a visit to YAD VASHEM, the Holocaust Memorial Institute with its new historical museum.
Then on to the ISRAEL MUSEUM and SHRINE OF THE BOOK, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls
• Drive to BETHLEHEM, (subject to local conditions) to visit the CHURCH OF NATIVITY and Manger Square.As Israeli guides are not allowed entry to Bethlehem, a local rep will be guiding. (Alternative site - the City of David where Jerusalem started.)
• Drive back to New Jerusalem, stopping in front of the KNESSET, the Israeli parliament. .
• Return to your hotel in the Jerusalem
area for ovenight.
Day 6, Tuesday: The Valley of Bet Sh’ean & Upper Galilee
• Descend the Judean mountains, through the Judean desert, then travel north along the Jordan Valley.
• Visit the National Park of BET SH’EAN – known as a crossroads between east and west in ancient times, with its over 20 layers of civilization dating back to the 5th millenium BC.
• Drive past thriving farm communities, established by refugees who fled from North Africa and other countries in the 1950’s.
• Visit BET ALFA, an eye opener to Jewish life in the 4th Century.
• See how world champion milk producing cows are handled by modern kibbutz robotic technology.
• Drive to
ZIPPORI (SEPPHORIS), capital of Galillee in the 1st Century
• Ascend to the Upper Galilee to visit
SAFAD (TSFAT), centre of Kabbala and Jewish mysticism
Overnight in the Galilee area.
Day 7, Wednesday: Sea of Galilee to the Golan Heights
• Drive along the north shore of the Sea of Galilee, the stage for most of the events in Jesus’ life:
MT of BEATITUDES, the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount;
TABGHA,, the traditional site of the 'miracle of the loaves and the fish,
CHURCH OF PRIMACY, where St. Peter was reinstated.
CAPERNAUM, Jewish village of 2000 years ago that was the centre of Jesus’ messianic work.
Sail across the Sea of Galilee to experience the tranquility and scenery little changed during the past 2000 years (sailing depends on weather conditions).
• Drive towards the scenic northern Golan Heights and on to Emek HaBacha (Valley of Tears) one of the major battlegrounds of the Yom Kippur War (October 1973).
• Proceed through Druiz villages, descending to the Hula Valley via Banias and on to the biblical town of TEL DAN.
• Return to hotel in the Galilee for overnight
Day 8, Thursday: Akko – Haifa - Farewell
• Drive west to the coast of the Mediterranean to AKKO (ACRE), gateway port city to the holy land during the crusader period with its intricate subterranean city of Crusader halls and sanctuaries.
• Continue to HAIFA to see the
BAHAI GARDENS and a panoramic view of the city from Mt. Carmel.
• On to the airport for farewell and departure
 

The tour itinerary may be altered in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or at the tour guide's discretion.
Modest clothing (no short sleeves or shorts) should be worn when visiting religious sites.

Terms & Conditions

Travel Udi. acts as direct or indirect agent between the passengers participating in the tour, and/ or the suppliers, such as: hotels and restaurants, bus companies, their owners, managers and employees or their representatives, and is not to be held responsible in any mishap of the services connected and/ or rendered by the aforementioned companies and/ or persons
All participants in these tours are bound by the general conditions, rules and regulations as fixed by the contractors. Any damage and/ or injury, loss and/ or additional expenses caused by reason beyond the control of Travel Udi, or not under their direct control, will be borne by the participants and is their sole responsibility.
We, reserve the right to change any tour, or part of it, or postpone it, or alter dates and hours of departures.
We advise all participants to insure themselves and their belongings.
Travl Udi will not be held responsible for any participant being refused entry to a site due to inappropriate dress.
Minimum cancellation fee is $100 . If it is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim it.
We reserve the right to cancel tours and the tours operate subject to a minimum number of participants. Cancellation will not be more than 8 weeks prior to departure, except for reasons of 'force majeure'
A full refund will be returned of any tour cancellationed. There will be no cancellation beyond that. If you tour is cut short after departure, due to force majeure, there will be a pro rata refund for unused accomodation and excursions.
