Petra & Jordan

Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s legacy was Peace. At the end of 1994, a short time before he was murdered, he signed the Peace Treaty with the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Israel’s relations with Jordan are strategically important and the 2 countries have since worked together to promote bilateral relations.

Eilat’s border with Jordan has since become the key location for beginning & ending tours to Petra.

The northern border – Sheikh Hussein, near to Beit She’an, allows for tours to operate with different entry and exit options providing excellent opportunities for varying itineraries.
