ROUTE
Day
1: Eilat to
Jerusalem
Early morning
departure, travelling north along the Rift Valley to Masada
(approx 2½ hour drive).
Ascend Masada - Israel's foremost archaeological park, via cable
car.
A thorough visit gives insight to the rituals, politics and culture
of the people who inhabited this
desert fortress.
Stop at a spa on the shores of the Dead
Sea - lowest point on earth - to immerse yourself in the
mineral rich water
Continue north passing by Ein Gedi & the Qumeran Caves - discovery
place of the Dead Sea
scrolls & then through the Judean Hills to Jerusalem.
Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity
(subject to Palestinian authority)
Check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day
2: Jerusalem to Galillee
After breakfast
(approx 07:30), drive to the Mt. of Olives, for a panoramic
view of the Old City of
Jerusalem.
Descend to Gethsemane crossing the biblical Kidron
Valley and up to the walled town.
Enter the Old City, starting at the Western
Wall, Judaism's holiest shrine.
Cross the Temple Mount (3rd holiest shrine of the Moslem World).
Walk along Via Dolorosa and the Christian quarter
to the Holy
Sepulchre.
Continue along the Cardo - main street of Jerusalem
during the Byzantine period
Climb Mt Zion to the Room of the Last
Supper and 'King David's' tomb
Travel northwest to the shores of the Mediterranean to visit Caesarea
Maritima, Herod the Great's
masterpiece (time permitting).
Drive northeast via Megiddo (Armageddon) to hotel in the Galillee
area.
Check into hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day
3: Galillee to Eilat
After breakfast, drive through the Lower Galillee to Nazareth
for a visit to the Church of
Annunciation and on to the village of Kana,
where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning
water into wine.
Continue on to visit the major sites around the shores of the Sea
of Galillee:
Tabgha
- traditional site of the miracle of "The Multiplication of the Loaves
and the Fish"
Church of Primacy - where Jesus appointed Peter
as his successor.
Capernaum - classical Jewish fisherman's village
during the time of Jesus, known as 'his town".
Return to Eilat, to Arava border at approx. 19:00 for departure to
Jordan.
Continue to Taba border for departure to Egypt.
